Podcast studio hire in Cheshire: what you actually get
What happens on the day, what it costs, and why recording off the M6 beats fighting through Manchester traffic.
You could record your podcast at the kitchen table with a USB mic and a laptop balanced on a stack of books. Plenty of people start that way. But the moment you want it to look and sound like a show people take seriously, that's where a proper studio earns its money.
Here's exactly what you get when you book in with us at Vibe, just outside Holmes Chapel.
Why not just record at home?
Three reasons: sound, picture and headspace. Home rooms echo, fridges hum and dogs bark at the exact wrong moment. Phone cameras on a tripod give you one flat angle. And when you're also the sound engineer, camera operator and host, you're never fully in the conversation.
In the studio, you just turn up and talk. I handle everything else.
What happens on the day
- Arrive and park. Free parking on site, 5 minutes from M6 Junction 18. No city-centre traffic, no parking meters.
- Settle in. Grab a brew while we set up. We'll chat through your episode and get you comfortable.
- Sound and lighting check. Mics set, levels checked, cameras framed on you and your guests.
- Record. Multi-camera filming with me running the session. Stumble? No stress, we keep rolling and fix it in the edit.
- Walk out done. Raw files same day, or a finished, edited episode and reels if you've booked the full thing.
Three sets, three vibes
Set A, the brick room: exposed brick, plants and warm light. Relaxed, conversational, great for interviews and co-hosted shows.
Set B, wood and velvet: wood-slat panels, a velvet sofa and moody lamps. More intimate, perfect for one-to-one chats, coaching content and creators.
Set C, dark wood and palms: dark slatted panels, big palms and warm, moody light. Slick and cinematic, ideal for course content, interviews and business shows.
What it costs
For comparison, a similar session with a producer in Manchester city centre typically runs £250 for two hours before any editing. Same quality kit, less hassle getting here.
Who records here?
Weekly podcast hosts, coaches filming course content, businesses building a company show, and creators who want a set that looks the part. If it's recorded on camera or on mic, it works here.
You bring the ideas. I'll make them look and sound like they belong on a proper channel.
